Three new development projects become part of the Regional Operational Programme “North Aegean 2014-2020” under the Call for proposals entitled “Energy upgrading of public buildings under Integrated Spatial Investments (ISI)” with eligible costs of more than €1m.
We are very pleased with this development considering that these projects are of utmost importance for the three islands, aiming at improving the residents’ quality of life, the conditions of schooling and will contribute towards the environmental protection of these islands thanks to the significant energy savings achieved and the reduction of CO2 emissions.
- For Lemnos there will be energy upgrading interventions in the school complex of the 1st EPAL GEL of Moudros. In particular, this includes upgrading the heating system and replacing lighting fixtures with new LED lights and control sensors.
- In Psara, the resources secured by the Municipality will be used for the energy upgrading of Municipal Buildings. There will be interventions at the Primary School-Nursery of Psara, the Town Hall, the Rural Clinic, and the municipal Cultural Events Hall.
- As regards the Municipality of Fournoi Korseon, interventions are planned at the following school buildings: Primary School of Thymaina, Primary School of Fournoi and Primary School of Chrysomilia.
The proposals cover the following: the replacement of frames and casings, the upgrading of heating systems and relating automations, the replacement of lighting fixtures with new LED lights and control sensors, the insulation of roofs and housetops, the installation of a PV system and the installation of a geothermal system.
