DAFNI Network provided technical support to the Municipalities of Kythnos and Milos to ensure the timely submission of two complete proposals, which were positively evaluated and funded by the Deposit and Loans Fund with a total budget of €111,663.
More specifically, in Kythnos the resources secured for the Municipality (€ 84.940,00) concern:
-
- the upgrading, optimization and replacement of parts of the water supply networks of the villages of Chora, Dryopida and Merichas,
- the construction of an external aqueduct to increase the energy storage in Merichas and the villages in the south
- utilization of the new water tanks of Tsouka and Agioi Theodoroi
Respectively for the Municipality of Milos, the fund of € 26,723.00 concerns:
-
- a Hiking Trail Network
- the documentation of the technical specifications (accessibility – signposting- facilities for resting and viewing areas).
An infrastructure project such as water supply as well as a local development project as the promotion of the natural and cultural heritage through hiking trail network is a glaring example of what DAFNI can offer to its member islands.
